Periwinkle and Letting Go

This meditation helps you to let go of emotions, feelings (like fear) and patterns
that no longer serve you. It helps you to shine light into the dark corners of your
psyche to allow your own light to shine bright and clear.  Each time you do this
meditation, you will lighten your load a little bit more.

One of the best gifts we can give ourselves is to let go of thoughts that do not serve us. I think

we all have these thoughts to a greater or lesser extent. Some psychologists call these

habitual thoughts "tapes." They run in our head on a seemingly endless loop, repeating and

repeating until we become conscious of them, until we decide to replace them with thoughts

that serve us better. When I recognize these thoughts in my head now, I say "these thoughts

do not serve me," and I turn my attention to something in keeping with the thoughts I’d like to

have. Often, I choose this or one of my other flower meditations to help me make the shift to

more enriching thinking.

     A positive Periwinkle Affirmation:

I let go of all that does not serve me.

I allow light to come into the dark corners of my spirit to permit

                                  my light to shine fully.
