WATER LILIES: Inspiration & Interconnection
Last week when I was in Las vegas, I was really struck by how interconnected we are and how one person's success can inspire and uplift so many others -- AND no matter how high you fly, there will always be another who has tread a path that can offer inspiration. I was inspired by so many fabulous people at the event. First, my mentor, Ali Brown who hosted the event and whose rise from barely scraping by to bringing in multiple millions each year, I have observed over the past few years. Then, there was her mentor, Anne McKevitt who arrived in London from rural Scotland with just a few pounds in her pocket who can bring in over a Billion (yes, with a "B") dollars each year. And, there are the others who have been in my Millionaire Protege Club whose successes just in this last year have been head-spinning. And then the speakers: founder of Baby Einstein, star of "Shark Tank" and major player in New York real estate, and an academy-award-winning actress who simply ignored what others saw as an obstacle (her deafness). Plus, there was a woman sitting next to me who learned how to give massages on a lark and now owns a fabulous chain of massage studios out west. That's a LOT of inspiration -- and I haven't even mentioned the other attendees OR the man I spoke with on the airplane on the way over who told me the story of his grandfather who came over from Sweden and who built with his own hands and toil a business that bears his family name: Asplundh that not only rules its industry in the U.S. but has maintained its status as a family-run company into the 4th generation. Water lilies certainly inspired Claude Monet. Anyone who has seen his water lily paintings can attest to that. Perhaps you, in turn, have been inspired by his paintings -- I know I have! Monet was a passionate lover of all kinds of flowers, and he once said, "I must have flowers. Always, always!" I once visited his house and garden in Giverny. It was a little early in the season for the water lilies, but what a paradise he created. When you visit, you really do feel like you've just walked into one of his paintings. I highly recommend it. (Plus, it is an easy train ride from Paris.) Water lilies have an energy of celebrating and drawing strength from their interconnectedness and knowing that we are all One. When we connect with this knowing and act from the strength of it, we truly tap into the beauty and joy of being. When we experience the world around us as beautiful, it IS beautiful -- and inspiring. Affirmation:
Like the Water Lily, I celebrate the beauty and inspiration and joy of my connection to All That Is. | In Joy and With Love,
