Oh, I just love sage! I love cooking with the leaves and flowers. (Check out my sage butter recipe right at the top of my Flower Recipe page.) And, I love the power of the Sage Flower energy.
Across cultures, burning of herbs and incense is used in rites of purification. In Native American cultures, the dried herbs used to clear and cleanse and purify are quite often Sage, especially White Sage.
You may have seen smudge sticks made of Sage.
You can burn the herbs and wave the smoke around, but -- as you have heard me say in many ways -- you don't need the physical plant or the physical burning. All you need is your mind and your intention -- AND your invitation. Just ask.
Here's a quick meditation energy tool you can try to clear energies from your own energy field. (I have also used this quite successfully to clear energies in a physical space like a room.)
Close your eyes and relax. Imagine a white light gently, lovingly pouring through you and opening your heart. Feel gratitude and appreciation for this loving energy.
From your heart, imagine sage flowers all around you and invite them to come into your energy field to clear it of any energies that do not serve you.
Imagine the sage flowers in a bouquet that looks much like a broom and imagine sweeping all the energy that does not serve you out of your energy field. All the while the pure white light continues to pour in and fill up any spaces left empty with light and love.
Take a moment to make a statement of appreciation.
Affirmation:
I easily and naturally live my life in a constant process of letting go of old energies that no longer serve me and embracing new ones that do.
