Pink Roses
Happy New Year!!
I rang in the New Year in North Carolina at my parents’ house. It was
great to be with my family and to re-charge my “southern” battery.
While I was there, I read most of Pat Conroy’s cookbook. I think it
will recharge anyone’s southern battery – whether you are from the
South or not! (I highly recommend it even if you don’t cook. Each
chapter and many recipes are graced with his story telling. So far, he
hasn’t mentioned flowers. Otherwise, it is a near-perfect read!)
Here are my parents with their Christmas gifts – both evoking special memories from their childhoods.

Self-Love/Self-Worth: My Theme for 2010
Last year my theme was “Life of Your Dreams,” and I discovered that the most common hurdle and stumbling block to living the Life of Your Dreams really boils down to not loving yourself enough, not feeling worthy of it.
(I also learned that most people think that money is what stands between them and the life of their dreams and so I am very adept at helping people make more money, and that it great and fun and even important, but it doesn’t really get at the core issue of what stands between you and the life of your dreams. The core issue is always self love.)
Time and again with my own clients and at conferences I attend, I hear different versions of the “I don’t love myself enough,” story.
Through this year, I’ll share with you some of the many variations of this story and various ways to shift your energy into a more self-loving, self-valuing place.
